We were greeted by Marie with a smile and a glass of Sauvignon blanc. We loved hearing the story behind Hourglass winery while sipping our wine during the tour. The best part was sitting in the comfortably cool tasting cave. Not only was the cave room a unique, intimate atmosphere, but the wines are fabulous and it was great speaking with Marie. Jeff Smith of Hourglass Winery has deep roots in the region. Facing the devastation of the Glass Fire to his property and community, he sounds a remarkable note of resilience. Amazing in every way!
