Kathy’s Alterations opened in 1980. Mine was the very first alterations business in Ahwatukee (Phoenix), Arizona. I attended a vocational school, which locals call the “Voc” in my hometown of Lawrence, Mass. At the “Voc” I learned the fine art of tailoring, alterations, fashion and design.
