A&M is just the safer option. I was in a similar situation out of high school, I got CAPed but really wanted to go to McCombs. My peers recommended going to A&M, my counselors told me to go to A&M, hell even the UT admissions office recommended going to A&M. so I did and transferred to UT after a year.

The following are my stats so far: Grades: If everything goes nicely, I plan to have at least a 3.8 GPA with 31 total in-residence credits earned by the end of the Spring 2022 semester.
