It would make it a much better handling shotgun than an 18 inch shotgun but just a big as a regular 16 inch no stamp needed rifle. Generally if you are intentionally making a shockwave into an NFA item you would probably be better off (as far as flexibility) to register it as an SBS instead of a AOW.
