Youth Basketball is designed to teach newcomers the basic skills of basketball and refine skills for returning players. Focus will be on ball control, shooting techniques, offensive and defensive tactics, rules and regulations of the game, teamwork, sportsmanship, and fair play for all. Leagues are forming now for ages 3 to 18.
YMCA's core values will be emphasized throughout the season. All ages will practice for one hour during the week followed by a Saturday game day. Teams will be split up based on practice availability, teammate/coach request, skill level, and age. Plan to attend the Meet and Greet on 1/6/2024 at the Taylor Bend Family YMCA gym.
